Scholars of Islam distinguish between extreme extremists and moderate extremists
Lou Dobbs of CNN’s MoneyLine became a hero in the media by using “radical Islamists” instead of “terror” to describe our enemy. But now two of his guests want to make a distinction between radical Islamists (who want to impose a totalitarian Caliphate on all nations through violence and terror) and “mainstream” Islamists (who want to impose a totalitarian Caliphate on all nations without violence and terror). His third guest, Daniel Pipes, insists it’s a distinction without a difference. Posted by Lawrence Auster at June 16, 2002 02:06 PM | Send Comments
I think what a “moderate extremist” in this context is someone who wants someone else to kill infidels. Posted by: John on June 21, 2002 7:01 AMExactly right. Posted by: Lawrence Auster on June 21, 2002 9:31 AM |
