New poll
We have a new poll — do vote! Of those responding to our most recent poll, 2.6% thought that those who adhere to the liberal view of racism (that it is a particular
thing that pollutes whatever it touches) do so because of their accurate understanding of its nature, 20.6% thought it was
because of a philosophical view that human beings are what they make themselves, 46.2% thought it was because of self-interest
of ruling elites and other benefited groups, and 25.1% thought it was because people are told to view racism that way. 5.1%
voted “other,” and there were 39 votes in all.
Comments
Adding “God, etc.” as a choice makes the other choices redundant in a way, since God and godly considerations, when properly viewed, lead to all other good things in their proper forms and just proportions. Though not at all religious, and someone who prefers keeping God and government not tightly intertwined, I voted for “God.” What could be more important than God, or come above him? All the other problems listed — family issues, feminism, economics, class conflict, ethnicity, nationhood, all of them — are resolvable only through God, godliness, or their genuine equivalent, and all will worsen — every single one — if God is absent as a foundation or a strong influence.
