Another “human shield” becomes a war supporter
“I was a naive fool to be a human shield for Saddam,” writes Daniel Pepper, an American Jew living in London. Apparently the plentiful sources of news and information available to him in the West had not been enough to inform him of the true nature of the Hussein regime (perhaps he got all his news from the BBC). But once he got to Baghdad, ordinary Iraqi civilians “‘splained” the situation to him, expressing also their fervent hopes for an American invasion and liberation of their country, and now he understands.
