When the Times is done obsessing about a guy who made up details, will they start worrying about reporters who invent issues — like the claimed increase in “rampage killings” — out of whole cloth? That article was by John Lott (aka Mary Rosh). He’s hardly in a position to complain about a “pattern of deceit”.
