Marriage amendment only way to stop same-sex marriage
Nationalized legalization of same-sex marriage via court decisions is all but inevitable in Canada, writes Stanley Kurtz, and is very likely here as well, in the absence of a Constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. The Marriage Amendment is thus “the only way to take marriage out of the hands of the courts and put it back into the hands of the people.” Posted by Lawrence Auster at June 16, 2003 04:51 PM | Send Comments
Damn those Canadians and their concepts of equality and freedom. Posted by: Tim G. on June 18, 2003 9:46 AMWhy isn’t this put to a vote of the people? Why aren’t the illegal actions of a few mayors and judges held to account? What the hell has happened to this country? God is all but gone from society and look where we’re at. Wanna walk down the streets of New Orleans at night? Or any other big city for that matter. Homosexual marriage is okay, God can’t be in the pledge, Musslims are sanctioned as enlightened people and Christians are scorned for believing right and wrong. God help us all.
