Of course, CNN radio, in its typical leftist coverage included a counter-statement (prefaced by the obligatory ‘while of course we agree with the Vatican’) by Cardinal Mahoney of Los Angeles, who I gather is now the sitting head of the Lavender Mafia occupying parts of the hierachy of the Catholic Church in the US.
