Pope bruited for peace prize
It seems the world’s greatest exponent of the Christianity of the Human Person is in the running for the “peace” prize given out each year by the world’s most prestigious organizational promoter of secular liberal values. And the reason he is being considered is his outspoken opposition to the Iraq war. Ahh, the Pope and the Nobel Committee—perfect together. Well, it seems that the Pope will not be joining the terrorist and tyrant Yasser Arafat, and that sucker-up to terrorists and tyrants, Jimmy Carter, in the ranks of Nobel Peace Prize winners. Instead the award has gone to an Iranian feminist lawyer, Shirin Ebadi. By the way, I think it’s a terrible injustice that Gerry Adams hasn’t yet gotten the prize. After all, didn’t he sign a peace agreement, just like Arafat? Posted by: Lawrence Auster on October 10, 2003 8:43 AM |
