Can a general be a Christian?
The Muslims, as I’ve said, know that they’re in a religious war against us. But when one of our best military and intelligence leaders says—not in his official capacity, but in a talk in a church—they’re we’re in a religious war with them, then all the forces of correct thinking seek to get him dismissed from his high post in the Defense Department. After all, we wouldn’t want to offend our enemies, would we? Here’s a good column on the General Boykin controversy by Tony Blankley. I received an e-mail from the Jerusalem Prayer Team, composed a number of noted Evangelical Christian leaders, which reported that Mohammedans across the U.S. are “mounting a campaign to pressure President Bush to fire General Boykin.” They have invited all concerned to sign an online petition to President Bush supporting the general. Anyone interested may do so here: Posted by: Joel LeFevre on October 22, 2003 11:54 PMNonsense. There is no war of “them” against “us” terms of “Muslims” against “Christians”. Nor should there be. I’m sure that if we just got out of the whole Middle East and left them alone they would not be inclined to attack us. Why is it that al-queda attacked us in the first place? Is it because we are “too free” for them? Is is because we watch TV all day and they are envious of us? Is it because we get to wear blue jeans and they have to run around in traditional garb? Look at it every day: http://www.jtl.org/Israel/images/Islam_will_dominate_the_world.jpg And get a grip man! There is such a thing as r-e-a-l-i-t-y. Acknowledge it, and act upon it!! Posted by: Joel LeFevre on October 24, 2003 1:52 AMOur commander in chief has now declared that Mohammedism is not only a religion of peace, but a religion of TOLERANCE. To Tranzis like George W. Bush, there is simply no greater virtue than tolerance. Osama must be having a good laugh about now.
