More on Iraq-Al Qaeda link
A significant follow-up by William Safire to the story on the Defense Department memo detailing a years-long relationship between Iraq and Al Qaeda. As Safire puts it, “[T]he burden of proof has shifted to those still grimly in denial.” Chief among those in denial is the F.B.I, which refuses to interrogate the former top Iraqi agent in Europe (now in U.S. custody) who according to Czech intelligence met several times in Prague with Muhammed Atta and gave him money.
