Reactions to Mac Donald article on illegal alien criminals
Heather Mac Donald couldn’t have timed better her article on the illegal alien crime wave and American officialdom’s tolerance of same. The people at lucianne.com, the most pro-Bush site on the Web, are connecting this horror with the Bush illegal immigration scheme, and a lot of them are as mad as hell. Please circulate MacDonald’s article widely. She has a track record of being right about social - especially urban - issues, as in her writing about the “broken windows” theory of policing. That theory, by the way, applies perfectly to immigration control, as the self-deportation of Pakistanis recently shows. If you want to influence them, you must cause them to fear you. Meanwhile, I can tell those of you who still see this as a matter of the constitution, elections, and the ability of the Republic to endure that you will soon see this as those of us on the frontlines do: a matter of physical survival.
