Jacoby—not a mere bird-brain, but a Soviet-style ideologue

Tamar Jacoby writes:

Huntington also mistakes what it means to assimilate. We as a nation have never asked immigrants to buy into the particulars of our culture, Anglo or otherwise.

In uttering such bald-faced lies, does Jacoby represent some new, audacious twist in the open-borders ideology, or its last, desperate gasp?
