The true Kerry

A glimpse into the candidate’s inner life, the core of his selfhood around which all his thoughts and acts revolve, and which justifies all his vacuous statements, staggering lies, and blatant contradictions:

“I’m a Catholic Democratic U.S. Senator from Massachusetts and my name is John F. Kerry. My initials are JFK. I have an extremely thick head of hair. I was born—I’m not making this up—in the West Wing. I served as a Navy lieutenant commanding a small boat in a war in the Far East. My combat service makes me a hero. My trashing of my fellow servicemen and officers as Hitlerian war criminals also makes me a hero. I have the correct internationalist and liberal views on all subjects and I am a superior human being. I am also very tall, which enhances my superiority. Fate has chosen me. I am entitled to be president.”
