Ramadan protests last-minute exclusion from U.S.

Tariq Ramadan says he is “in shock” over the decision by U.S. authorities to revoke his visa. He was about to come to the U.S. with his family next week to take up his teaching position at Notre Dame. I have a bad feeling about this. The fact that the visa was awarded months ago, and that Ramadan prepared his family’s move to the U.S. based on that and is now being hugely inconvienced by the reversal, may force the State Department to revoke the revocation. They blew it by waiting until the last minute and so turning him into a victim.
