Brinkley admits the truth about Kerry
Douglas Brinkley, Kerry biographer and hagiographer, has changed his mind about his hero. He is quoted in today’s New York Times (“Truth Be Told, the Vietnam Crossfire Hurts Kerry More,” Jodi Wilgoren, September 24, 2004):
Every American now knows that … John Kerry was not the war hero we thought he was.And how do Brinkley and all the rest of us now know that Kerry was not the war hero we thought he was?
