Nurturing Islam

During a recent camping trip, I started to read Islam: A Short History by Karen Armstrong, but was so appalled by her gentle whitewashing of every single aspect of Islam that, after putting the book down several times then giving it another chance, I finally lost all interest. What we have with Armstrong is a combination of Political Correctness and the female character. The aim of PC is to blame ourselves and approve the Other. The aim of the female nature is to give one’s unconditional love and protection. Now if you combine the two, what have you got? Unconditional love and protection of the Other.
