The liberals’ problem is bigger than “communication”
To say that the problem with the Democratic party is that the urban liberals who comprise its core are “out of touch” with the feelings of ordinary Americans (particularly Christian conservatives) is like saying that the problem with Bolshevism was that the Bolsheviks were out of touch with the feelings of ordinary Russians. The problem is not that liberals are out of touch with ordinary Americans; the problem is that they are opposed to everything about them and want to change them into something else.
