Comment spam attack

I’ve just had to spend about 20 minutes clearing out the latest comment spam attack, consisting of about 25 comments. I use the MT Blacklist software, but sometimes it doesn’t catch them all and I’ve to go after some of them individually. Every day now there are several attacks. I cannot conceive of the evil of human beings who for the slightest marginal advantage would do something like this to other people. I support the direst punishments for these comment spammers. Instead, they’re all still scot-free.
