Can we make peace with Al Qaeda?
Should the U.S. negotiate with Osama bin Laden? He himself has offered something along those lines, and, amazing as this seems, some apparently serious people in the West support the idea, based on their view that bin Laden does not seek to harm us but only wants us to “get out of his neighborhood.” Writing at FrontPage Magazine, Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, of Steven Emerson’s Investigative Project, looks in detail at what bin Ladenism really stands for and puts such fantasies to rest. This is a long article but worth reading. Posted by Lawrence Auster at December 17, 2004 07:33 PM | Send Email entry |
