The centrality of jihad in Islam, revisited
A friend just reminded me of a piece of mine at FrontPage Magazine last August, “The Centrality of Jihad in Islam,” which I had forgotten about, and which, if I don’t mind saying so, is a heck of a good article, well worth a second read. Also, it anticipates several points I make in my huge upcoming two-part article at FrontPage, “The Search for Moderate Islam,” in which I critique Daniel Pipe’s thesis that “moderate Islam is the solution,” and then lay out an alternative approach.
