Another sign that the West has crossed a line
Where the leftist elite culture is at: the chief news executive of CNN, at a public, televised session of the World Economic Forum in Davos, accused the United States of deliberately murdering 12 journalists in Iraq. The remark set off something of a furor, and the CNN top news nutcase, not having any evidence to support his charge, which apparently had never been made on the air, seemed to backpeddle, but not really. Jim Kalb remarks about this story:
I really get the impression at times that public life in the sense of rational discussion subject in principle to an objective standard has come to an end. I can’t say that Bush and his fans are strong on that either. Posted by Lawrence Auster at February 02, 2005 10:15 AM | Send Email entry |
