The browning, and yellowing, of the North
Canada, like the U.S., set about turning itself into a non-white country, and it is succeeding brilliantly. Not a hard thing to do, by the way. Just open the doors of any white society to non-whites, and—because whites tend to create far more prosperous and attractive societies than do non-whites—non-whites will come, and keep coming as long as the doors stay open. Thus it is projected that Toronto, an almost 100 percent white city in 1960, will have a majority of visible minorities by 2017, including a million East Asians, 700,000 of them Chinese.
That, by the way, should be just around the time when the Chinese homeland really starts to feel its oats on the global stage. Let us try to imagine how a Canada (and a U.S.) replete with fanatically patriotic Chinese—patriotic, that is, to China and the Chinese race—will react in that situation. If you think I’m being alarmist, please recall how Chinese immigrants in the U.S. went wild with joy over the transfer of Hong Kong from British to Communist Chinese rule in 1997. Remember that all these U.S. Chinese had supposedly come to our country because they love, uh, you know, F R E E D O M. It turned out that they care more about Chineseness, even if it’s Communist Chineseness, than they care about our fatuous freedom.
