Those fatally obedient Germans

In the same VFR thread from December 2003 that I linked previously, I come upon an interesting comment:

I am an American living in Germany (my husband is German) and I still cannot believe the horrific immigration and asylum problems they have here as well. The Germans are afraid to open their mouths and say anything for fear of being labelled a “Nazi.” Most of them pretend all of this is not happening and choose to look the other way. It’s been drilled into us practically from the time we are born to feel guilty for being white and Christian.

It’s fascinating that the same devout obedience to authority that made the Germans into perfect little Nazis now makes the Germans into perfect little anti-Nazis, perfect little suicidal liberals who obediently close their eyes to the suicide of their country.
