A makeover too far?
From this photo that appeared today at the Drudge Report, it’s evident to me that Hillary Clinton has recently had additional facial work. The shape of her face has actually changed. It’s narrower than it ever was before. She always had a broad face, even when she was a college student. I think this makes it less likely she’ll be elected president. The artificiality stands out too much.
However, a female correspondent points out:
One of the few shards of hope I have been entertaining was that she was getting too cute, too pretty. That Americans would not find that appealing in a president, especially a first lady president. Thatcher was good looking but in an iron type of way. Mrs. Ghandhi was very womanly and had an ancient aspect even though she was not particularly old. However, I always have to acknowledge my own insight, that being elected American president involves only two things, getting the nomination of major party, and having a weak opponent. Both of which are likely if not inevitable. But we can never know what might arise. Posted by Lawrence Auster at May 13, 2005 08:57 AM | Send Email entry |
