A Western country descends into the depths

Canada’s national legislature voted yesterday to establish same-sex “marriage.” In justifying the law, Canadian prime minister Paul Martin said:

The vote is about the Charter of Rights. We’re a nation of minorities and in a nation of minorities you don’t cherry-pick rights.

A nation of minorities. That is a new and interesting way of describing the multicultural society, a society with many “equal” cultures but no common or dominant or national culture, except for the anti-culture of liberalism.
