America: Eyeless in Gaza

According to Barbara Lerner in a must-read article at NRO, the ultimate but unspoken issue in the Gaza withdrawal is not the “peace process,” not the fraud of democratic Palestinian statehood, not the destruction of a thriving Israeli community in Gaza, and not even the threat to Israeli security; it is the creation of a Hamas-controlled mini-state in Gaza, and thus a huge advancement for terrorist power throughout the Mideast and the world. Among other excellent things in this article, Lerner provides an explanation of how President Bush totally reversed his solemn June 2002 pledge of “no-peace, no-state,” and is now pushing for the creation of a state run by terrorists.
