Britain’s path to national suicide
A correspondent from London has collected the following data from today’s papers:
- Half the births in London in 2003 were to mothers born outside the UK;
- 80,000 people of Chinese origin live in London;
- One in five people living in Harrow (the location of Harrow School) is a Hindu;
- 307 languages are spoken by pupils in London schools;
- 125,000 London children speak Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati or Punjabi as a first language;
- According to the Evening Standard, 87% of Londoners agree the city’s cultural mix is a positive thing.
