The Bush Hackocracy

Over at The New Republic they have an article on the Bush hackocracy, meaning the filling of high positions in the administration with individuals whose sole qualification is personal loyalty and friendship to the president. The piece profiles 15 representative hacks and their career accomplishments in ascending order, with the truly remarkable Harriet Miers coming in as number one. The article was certainly prepared in a timely fashion, since, except for the selection and placement of Miers in the list, it was written before her nomination to the Supreme Court.
