Peters too far out for Powerline
Ralph Peters, who has sometimes offered a valuable perspective on military matters but is a ranting liberal idiot when he comments on larger issues, has a column about the Muslim riots in France that, except for its anti-Frenchness, is pure left-wing. The French are nasty bigots, he writes, and the poor oppressed Muslims are righteously rising up demanding justice. One of the Powerline guys says of Peters: “his perspective is so hostile to the French that he almost seems pro-rioter.” I’ve mentioned this because any criticism of one member of the pro-Bush “conservative” establishment by another member is so rare. Which is an index of how over the top Peters is. Posted by Lawrence Auster at November 08, 2005 04:47 PM | Send Email entry |
