To admit one Muslim into your country is to admit them all

A fascinating and horrifying new insight into the meaning of Muslim immigration popped up this week at the Brussels Journal:

We, too, want to live in peace, but for the short time that we, Europeans, still have before the era of Eurabia, we want to do so in our land according to our rules, not those of islam. Jyllands-Posten wondered whether this was still possible in a country with a Muslim minority. It found out that when a country has let in a Muslim minority it has let in the Muslim majority from the rest of the globe.

What is being pointed to is a key distinction between Islam and the West. In Western civilization, national borders delimit each country. Nationhood and national identity are primary organizing concepts of human society and human experience. By contrast, the borders of Muslim countries are of strictly secondary importance. The only true Muslim community is the sacred Islamic umma which includes all Muslims on earth.

This pecularity of Islam as compared with other human societies has profound consequences. If you admit immigrants into your country from, say, Mexico, then you will find yourself being pulled willy nilly into the sphere of Mexican concerns; Mexico will be very much involved in how you are treating your domestic Mexican minority, and will put pressure on you, for example, not to enforce the law on illegal aliens, but instead to give them amnesty. Becoming an object of the jealous national pride of one discrete country such as Mexico is bad enough. But if you admit Muslims into your country, from anywhere on earth, then suddenly all the Muslims on earth have an intense interest in how you are treating your Muslim minority. An insult to one Muslim in your country is an insult to all Muslims in all countries—an insult, moreover, that they are commanded by their god to avenge. If a single newspaper in your country prints a satirical cartoon about Muhammad, then all the Muslims on earth see your country as their enemy and are ready to kill you all.

Such is the earthly hell created by non-discriminatory mass immigration.
