No sooner does he suggest that his own supporters are racists for opposing the ports deal, than he makes a surprise trip to Afghanistan, which has his most vocal support base, the L-dotters, squealing in adoration.
Bush has it perfectly figured out: as long as he keeps up the futile and counterproductive campaign to spread democracy in Muslim countries, his “conservative” fans will forgive him for betraying the actual security, liberty, culture, and identity of this country. Email entry |
