Beheading may be hoax
A website called the Jawa Report says that the video purportedly showing the beheading of Iraqi reporter Atwar Bahjat is a hoax. The video is actually of a beheading of a Nepalese man by Iraqi terrorists in 2004. As for a motive, there is the suggestion that those who sent the video were falsely trying to blame Shi’ites for the murder.
I had half wondered at the time, since Bahjat’s body had been found on February 23, was she reported as being beheaded then, and if so, why the surprise now? But it was one of those thoughts that forms in your head but you don’t pursue it. Email entry |
