Why we cannot allow leftists to lead the resistance to Islam

I just came upon this e-mail dated March 3 from Daniel M.:

The problem in allowing the Hirsi Alis to be the driving force of the Resistance is that leftists cannot in good conscience oppose only Islam. For reasons of “fairness,” they will feel compelled—even if they did not already consciously intend it—to destroy Christianity also, simply to justify the “horrendous” act of opposing a non-white, non-Western culture.

It is a civilizational defense that must be mounted, and if the civilization being defended is to be recognizably Western, it simply must include the defense of Christianity. This is the true way forward.
