Senate votes for national suicide

In January 2004 I said that President Bush’s immigration proposal was the most radical proposal by any president in U.S. history. A slightly less radical but still horrible and unbelievable version of that proposal was passed today at 5 p.m. Eastern time by the U.S. Senate, by a vote of 62 to 36.

As if that were not enough, at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time, confirming my idea that we are going through a Camp of the Saints moment in this country, Bush’s amigo and spiritual compatriot Vicente Fox will be triumphantly addressing the California legislature, where he will undoubtedly be greeted by cheers in Spanish.

The disgrace of this vote, and of this moment in history, stands as a monument to the evil of liberalism and the power it has gained over leading elements of our society, and over much of the society as a whole. But it is not the final word. This calamitous bill will be stopped. If it gets anywhere close to becoming law, America will get into the streets.
