Deliberately lying liberals
Liberals lie—coldly, systematically, and with malice aforethought. Finding a particularly egregious instance in the
New York Times, Paul Nachman let its
“public editor” know about it:
Dear Mr. Calame,
In his op-ed in the 7/9 New York Times, Tony Horwitz writes: “Border vigilantes call themselves Minutemen, summoning colonial Massachusetts as they apprehend Hispanics in the desert Southwest.”
But the Minutemen, a few of whom I know, are effectively a neighborhood watch group. They do not “apprehend” anyone. Neither are they amateurs out, on their own authority, enforcing the law. So they aren’t “vigilantes.”
Further, they have been active and prominent for more than a year now, and my two simple points of fact above have been made ad nauseum.
Thus, by now, Horwitz’s statement isn’t a mistake. It is a lie.
When are the Times’s editors going to start taking responsibility to make sure you don’t continue to print this lie?
Sincerely,
Paul Nachman

Interesting. According to liberals, calling the Minutemen “vigilantes” is not being judgmental, but calling terrorists “terrorists” is.
