God and disasters
Heather Mac Donald’s ill-thought-out attack on religious belief reminds me of a dialog I had a year and a half ago with a female correspondent whose hostility to the very idea of God seems similar to Mac Donald’s. The conversation was in three parts: God and the tsunami, God and the tsunami, part II, and God and the tsunami, part III.
(My unnamed correspondent, as I pointed out a few days after posting this, was Mac Donald herself, which I felt at liberty to reveal after she made published arguments identical to what she had said here.) Email entry |
