A concession of defeat?

John Derbyshire on Thursday morning at the Corner referenced my critique of him, “Derb” Agonistes, thusly:

Auster Audacity [John Derbyshire]

Larry Auster tosses and gores me for my narcissistic paganism at View from the Right, by no means for the first time.

While his tone may be ironic, he’s nevertheless describing me as a bull, and himself as a matador who has been tossed and gored by the bull. In other words, he’s saying that I’ve devastated him.
