In a column about America’s relations with the Palestinians and Iranians, Diana West presents lots of evidence backing up my First Law of Majority-Minority Relations under Liberal Society: The worse a minority or non-Western group behaves, the more we must conceal the truth about that group, in order to maintain our own belief in equality. As a result, the more dysfunctional, destructive, and dangerous to us any non-Western group is, the greater the moral claim it has on us and the more it stands to gain from us. To do justice to the madness of this inverted world we live in, we would need an Atlas Shrugged that was about race instead of economics.
