Catching up

I have been away all day on family matters and will catch up this evening by posting readers’ comments in some of the recent entries. While I have not enjoyed the fact that a well-known and respected person keeps calling me a liar and a deceiver, and have also felt uncomfortable that VFR had to be sidetracked by this controversy, the picture is not all bad. Yesterday VFR had its highest number of visits ever, which means that a not-insubstantial number of people are hearing my side of the argument, and perhaps they are also seeing that beneath the evanescent (and, to many, offensive and distracting) “personal” controversy, as well as driving it, there are real and profoundly important issues at stake.
