The monstrous double standard

Concerning the race-blind news coverage of an alleged sexual attack by a black male on a white female in Durham, North Carolina, John Leo quotes a headline at the Confederate Yankee blog:

RACELESS FEMALE RAPED BY RACELESS MALE AT A PARTY HOSTED BY A RACELESS FRATERNITY IN THE SAME CITY WHERE RICH WHITE BOYS RAPED A POOR BLACK STRIPPER

The double standard is a hideous constant of our society, and we must keep drawing attention to it. But no one seems to have noticed that complaining about and mocking the double standard has not changed it or weakened it in the slightest; it is a practice that just keeps sailing on. This is because the double standard is not an expression of mere bias and unfairness on the part of the left; it is a constitutive aspect of liberal society. Therefore if we conservatives want to end the double standard, and not just spend the rest of our lives complaining about it, we need to talk about WHY the double standard exists, and WHERE it is tending, and such a discussion means confronting liberalism itself.
