The obvious absurdity of a Palestinian state; the obvious absurdity of world opinion

According to a recent poll, ninety percent of Palestinian schoolchildren believe that Israel has no right to exist. Yet the United States, and Israel, and most of the rest of the world, still believe that a Palestinian state can co-exist with Israel in the tiny territory west of the Jordan. And not only that, but many people believe that the attainment of this unattainable absurdity is the key to solving the worst problems in the world.

Dimitri K. writes:

I believe that the Palestinian state is so popular not because it is practical, but because it is a symbol and the quintessence of hope. The hope that barbarians of this world can be civilized. Actually, it is the last and only hope that liberal mankind cannot give up. Because if they give up that, everything else they believe in will collapse. Like the evil castle collapses after its evil owner ceizes to exist.
