The difference between the secular realm and the “promotion of secular values”

For readers who have come to VFR recently, I recommend this item from March 2006. Conservative Swede, then known as Mr. Particular Swede, strongly objected to my attack on the anti-Muslim manifesto that had been issued by a group of European leftists and secular Muslims, and we had a good discussion about it.
