The Times on NumbersUSA

Wow, the New York Times mentioned NumbersUSA in a page one article about a month ago on the nationwide grass-roots campaign that stopped the S.1348 (I can’t find the link at the moment), and now it has an article focusing on NumberUSA itself: “Little-Known Group Claims a Win on Immigration.”

“Claims” a win? Oh, those Timesians. Even when granting a victory to their opponents, they have to find these little ways to diminish it. Here would be a more truthful headline:

Little-Known Group Savors Defeat of Open-Borders Bill Once Thought Unstoppable.
Unprecedented Grassroots Campaign Disproves Times’ Phony Poll Saying Law Was Supported by Broad Majority of Americans.

By coincidence, Mark Krikorian at the Corner also re-wrote a passage from the Times article, amusingly turning open-borders proponent Frank Sharry’s nasty comment about NumbersUSA against him.
