Extreme Muslim sect controls nearly half of mosques in Britain

Subject: YOU KNOW I ONCE KNEW A MUSLIM WHO LOOKED LIKE YOU, HE WANTED TO CONTROL ALL MOSQUES NOT JUST HALF
I hope you post this Daily Mail article as the mosque situation is much worse than I thought:
Radical Islamic sect “has half of Britain’s mosques in its grip.” Nearly half of Britain’s mosques are under the control of a radical Islamic sect whose leading preacher strongly opposes Western values.
How’s the above Dylan paraphrase?
LA replies:
I’m laughing, I’m laughing.
Here’s the Dylan line that Jeff is taking off on, from the 1983 song, “Sweetheart like You”:
You know, I once knew a woman who looked like you,
She wanted a whole man, not just a half.
However, I was less impressed by the story than Jeff was. The radical preacher’s statements quoted in the article seem pretty tame, such as his describing Christian beliefs as “mumbo-jumbo.” What do people expect a Muslim to say about Christianity? And does anyone actually expect a serious Muslim to approve of “Western values” (i.e., liberalism)? Only in modern liberal society would it come as a shock to people that a Muslim cleric thinks that Christianity and liberalism are false beliefs, undeserving of any respect.
