At last—a true Tawana Brawley / Duke lacrosse players story?

Unfortunately for the liberals, there’s no Great White Defendant in the hideous, subhuman, but non-homicidal crime that is charged here: no “Master of the Universe” Park Avenue stockbroker Sherman McCoy; no young white prosecutor Steven Pagones; no New York State Attorney General Robert Abrams; no “privileged” white male Duke lacrosse players. Nope, just six subnormal-looking whites from the back hills of West Virginia. Further frustrating the liberals’ eternal search for a George Bush-like (spoiled rich twit), a Jared Taylor-like (“gaunt Southern man”), or even a Richard Jewell-like (middle-class misfit) Great White Defendant, three of the six defendants are women.

Even such a relentless searcher-out of white-supremacist evil as Undercover Black Man will have trouble getting much mileage out of this one.

As reported by the AP:

BIG CREEK, W.Va.—For at least a week, authorities say, a young black woman was held captive in a mobile home, forced to eat animal waste, stabbed, choked and repeatedly sexually abused—all while being peppered with a racial slur….

Six people, all white, including a mother and son and a mother and daughter, have been arrested and could face federal hate crime charges in the suspected attack on 20-year-old Megan Williams, who remained hospitalized Tuesday with injuries that included four stab wounds in the leg, and black and blue eyes. Her right arm was in a cast.

Yes, it won’t be what it would be with a better breed of white defendant but I still expect to gnash my teeth as it gets more press than comparable atrocities with the races in reverse. And the race angle will be up front, in contrast to the way it is usually. Compare the AP’s early and clear identification of the races here to the notorious lack of same in reversed incidencts…
