You know the phrase, that once a man stops believing in God, he will believe in anything.

It’s also true that once a man stops believing in his country/civilization/race, he will believe in anything, be “open” to anything.

So, indeed, as you said, why stop at 20 million, why not 30 million? Why not 100 million?
