Affirmative Action in action

In 2002 Eddie Jordan was elected District Attorney for New Orleans (or rather for Orleans Parish, with which the city of New Orleans is co-extensive) vowing to make the D.A.’s office “look more like New Orleans.” Within two months of his taking office, his staff went from 77 whites and 56 blacks to 27 whites and 130 blacks. Douglas McCollam at Opinion Journal tells us about the Atlas Shrugged-like consequences. (Where is the genius author who will write the racial-ethnic-cultural version of Atlas Shrugged? For that matter, where are the decently talented writers and directors who will produce the scores of novels and movies on anti-liberal themes that cry out to be created? Why are the arts and popular entertainment totally monopolized by the left?)
