Ashura in Manhattan?
I have not been able yet to get my head around the facts of this appalling (but inevitable) story told by the blogger Atlas Shrugs, so for the moment I’ll just pass it on without further comment: It appears that the Shi’ite holy day of Ashura, the commemoration of the death of the Prophet’s grandson Hussein, was observed the other day in New York City, complete with public blood-letting. I’ll revisit this when I get a better picture of what happened.
Well, one comment: Liberals (meaning virtually all modern Westerners) somehow imagine that we can let Muslims en masse into the West, and that they will not bring their religion with them. Email entry |
