William Buckley’s resemblance to leading race realist

For years, people have been pointing to a resemblance between Jared Taylor and William Buckley, not only in their physical appearance, but in their manner and even their speaking patterns, leaving aside the differences of accent. In this photo of Buckley, appearing today with a column by John Podhoretz in the New York Post, the resemblance becomes striking.

It’s too bad that Buckley did not have some political resemblances to Taylor as well. After opposing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, he signed on to it, and also had little or nothing to say against the Immigration Reform Act of 1965 that is rapidly transforming America into a non-European country—and is doing the same to all the other nations of the West as well. In fact, National Review only began publishing articles about the cultural and racial impact of our non-discriminatory immigration policies after Buckley stepped down as editor of NR in 1989, and eight years later Buckley fired the editor who was calling for immigration restrictions.

So, WFB led the movement that ultimately helped defeat Soviet Communism. But he did nothing to stop the movement that is turning America into a Third-World country. In fact, by silencing the first and only mainstream conservative organ that was opposing that movement, he helped advance it.
