Lowry on Bush, 2006
In a February 2006 blog entry that I just came across and is worth taking a look at, I analyze of Richard Lowry’s intellectually dishonest dissociation of himself from President Bush’s freedom mantra that Lowry had supported for the previous three years. (Later, of course, the surge in 2007 made the wavering conservatives such as Lowry return to their previous full support for Bush ) See in particular the last paragraph where I explain the different “speeds” at which traditionalists, conservatives, and liberals come to grasp the falseness of liberal ideas.
