Maybe you could give him a little credit for being able to take criticism like that.

LA replies:

I thought I did. But I could say more. Most establishment conservatives—and conservatives whom I’ve ever criticized—simply treat me as a non-person. The fact that Ponnuru, after I’ve attacked his magazine as I have done, could still mention me favorably, is unusual and admirable.
